nose, mouth and brain. The body also comprises the hands, feet, neck, and the substantive body structure. That body structure houses the heart principally and all vital organs that make the whole body to function properly.
It is easy to see the preeminence of the head from taking a look at the whole body. The head is the very first part of the body that attracts any on looker. The head stands out. The head helps with recognition of the identity of the whole body. The head helps to appreciate the status of the whole body. How majestic the head sits on the body influences the view of the whole body that the onlooker forms. The head also attracts attention as the one to complement or blame for the picture (or glory) that the whole body projects.
We can imagine the significance of the head therefore in the context of the husband and wife relationship. It is easy to see why the bible itself places so much emphasis on the head, empowerment and responsibility both at the same time! These things come to the head naturally by reason of the structure of the whole body and did not come because the head desired influence, control or preeminence. The head must now however, rise up to
