nowhere to go or no other option outside of ourselves? We must not tempt our wives. When we become too familiar with them and believe that we have done them a favour by marrying them and giving them a home, we tempt them and toy with our glory.
Jesus said, “I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish” and that is they key to his retention of the glory of His church. That was behind the bold statement He made that reflected His commitment to keeping His glory to Himself only. Husbands must continually “give” compelling value to their wives like the eternal life and salvation that God has given us. Jesus did not take us for granted at any time, despite the fact that we need the benefit He has offered to us, without which we are doomed to destruction. Rather, he went to great lengths to show us that we need it, seeking our hearts, offering us privileges untold, and encouraging us to follow Him.
Our wives deserve the same treatment, needing to be wooed always and continually, with clear offering of compelling value to ensure that they cannot be swayed or attracted by other men. No man should fool himself that his wife, no matter how
