The Man In Love
I am the Lord, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images.
Isaiah 42:8
Sanctify, cherish, nourish and cherish her as key components of demonstrating your love toward her. If God will not give us, His church and His glory to another, we must not give our glory to another as well. If we do not give our glory to another, no other can take our glory from us! Our negligence often results in our glory being given to another. Hear what Jesus said in John 10:28- 30 quoted below.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.
John 10:28-30
He stated emphatically that no man would succeed to pluck out His glory (us His church) from His hands. That’s how much He cherished us as wife (His bride). Husbands, can we say the same about our wives? Or, have we become so negligent and naïve as to think that other men cannot take away your glory?
