The Man In Love
The motivation behind our gestures of sacrifice should be and remain love always! It should be done because that is what God commanded. It should be done because that is what love toward our wives constitutes. It should be done because that is what we also enjoyed from Jesus Christ and are obligated to show toward others.
It should not be done because we are trying to get something from our wives or to take advantage of her. If it is done because we are positioning ourselves in order to get something from her sometime in the immediate future that we believe she ordinarily would not accede to, then the motivation is fraudulent and the gesture is certain to ultimately backfire. Sacrifice done out of love as consideration for the wellbeing of the wife as the core objective along with the obedience to the commandment of God on the matter. Outside of that, it would only amount to a self- seeking venture that will most certainly blow up in the husbands face. Sacrifice out of true love for your wives as husbands because true love for your wives is indeed, true love for God.
