The Man In Love
If husbands do to their wives what God commanded them to do, they will get the wives of their heart desire. In the same way, if wives do to their husbands what God commanded them to do, they will equally get the husbands of their heart desire. More specifically, husbands will get the submissive wives that they so much desire, and without having to compel them to submit. Wives will also get the husbands that would loved them just as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it, without having to engage in retaliatory gestures that run contrary to the word of God. In essence, therefore, simple obedience on the part of both husbands and wives, independently and respectively, will deliver their heart desires.
When we refuse to walk in the truth of God’s word, we frustrate the ability of the power that the word carries to produce for us. The scriptures say that we can do against the truth but for the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8). When the husbands do not love their wives for any reason that they may have or give, they deny the power of love from working on their wives to bring out the best in them. When wives refuse to submit to their husbands as God commands, they also deny the power of submission from
