The Man In Love
His love and repay Him instead with hate, then we treated the same way we have invariably demand from Him.
The supremacy of the love in God’s dealings with man and is demand for reciprocity is captured further in Proverbs 23:26 where it says,
My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.
Proverbs 23:26
This is God’s overriding demand from us. Love is of the heart. That is what the scripture actually means. It can as well be paraphrased to read ‘my son, give me your love.’ And the way to do it is also stated in the scripture. We must let our eyes observe His ways! Knowledge of His commands is a precondition for obedience to them, and therefore, expressing our love toward Him.
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.
