The Man In Love
From John 5:19-20 we understand that Jesus aligned His will completely with that of the Father. The will of the Father was His motivation in all situations and at all times. He looks at the Father and does whatever He sees Him do. He did nothing out of His own accord or desire. His joy was to satisfy the will of the One who sent Him.
The love that His Father had toward Him was reflected in the Father showing Him everything that He did. He could not do any wrong because He always walked within the will of His Father. When God sought for who would offer Himself as a sacrifice for the reconciliation of man to Himself, Jesus volunteered as an unparalleled show of love for the Father and for man that He created. He made it clear to us in John 10:17-18,
“Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”

He laid down His life for us of His own freewill. Though He had the power and right to refuse to lay it down, nevertheless He submitted Himself fully to the will of the Father and gave Himself
