The Man In Love
then we are walking in sin because we are walking in disobedience to the commandments of God. We are therefore called to walk into a holy walk before God by the call to love our wives.
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled
Hebrews 12:14-15
It is doubtful whether husbands as children of God understand how serious the commandment to love their wives is. Without holiness the scripture says that no one will see God. When bitterness is in the heart, love is absent from the same heart. Without loving their wives therefore, husbands will also not see God. Love guarantees a place for husbands in heaven! Put differently, showing love to our wives is a sure gateway to heaven for husbands. Every husbands that is born of God must therefore view the commandment that “husbands love your wives” with all seriousness.
In concluding this chapter, let us look at Matthew 24:12 that says,
