The Man In Love
likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:5-8
This demonstration of love made David to wonder why God was mindful of man and why He even considers visiting Him at all.
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?
Psalm 8:3-4
After David considered all that God had created, He could hardly understand what was special about man that God took so much interest in His welfare, even when man continued to misbehave toward God despite all the privileges accorded him. Jesus was humiliated on the cross before the whole word just because of His live for man. Imagine what Galatians 3:13-14 says about the one who hangs on a tree.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
