* AUGUST 2015 – AUGUST 2016: Badlands House Band tours extensively,
headlining and backing up platinum rockers Kip Winger, Don Dokken,
Blades, Mark Slaughter, Stephen Pearcy, and David Ellefson. From Bike
Week in Daytona to the Sturgis Rally…to the Lone Star Rally in
Galveston…Badlands House Band formed a bond with each other and
with our audience that could not be broken.
During this 12-month period, Badlands Entertainment Group grossed
a quarter million dollars from the band’s efforts.

* DECEMBER 2016: Badlands Pawn/Badlands Entertainment Group
shut down and ceased operations. At this critical crossroads, with all
support and backing withdrawn, we knew the band was too strong
not to stay together and keep forging ahead. I re-branded the group as
RON KEEL BAND. The personnel have remained the same for five
Years now – nobody quits, nobody gets fired.

* DECEMBER 2016: At the same time the Badlands business was
shutting down, my wife Renee was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast
cancer. As we braced for the battle, my bandmates stood strong with
me even though it was obvious I would not be able to do a lot of shows
in 2017, as I cared for my wife through what would eventually be 8
surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments.
