The Doctoral Academy Level 2 Advanced Research Certificate programme is an excellent

Doctoral Academy Level 2 Programme Outcomes

At the end of the Doctoral Academy Level 2 training programme, participants will be able to:

1. Develop a research project plan that outlines specific goals, objectives, and timelines

for healthcare research projects.

2. Identify potential opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare
research projects to promote the integration of different fields in health sciences.

3. Conduct a comprehensive literature search using appropriate databases and search
terms to produce high-quality systematic or scoping reviews using Atlas.ti to inform

evidence-based practices in health sciences.
4. Understand key statistical concepts such as central tendency, variability, and

correlation, and use SPSS software to perform basic statistical tests for analysing

healthcare data.
5. Apply relevant theories and frameworks to guide research design and analysis in

health sciences.
6. Use Atlas.ti software to analyse and interpret qualitative data from healthcare research

to gain insights into patient experiences, attitudes, and behaviours.

7. Recognize and address potential ethical challenges in healthcare research projects to
ensure that research is conducted responsibly and ethically.

8. Apply best practices for manuscript preparation, formatting, referencing, and
submission guidelines to prepare high-quality manuscripts for submission to high-

impact journals in the field of health sciences.
