3 THE ENSCONCED
Thimphu, the most crowded habitable business center,
remains the only Bhutanese city with numerous shops
and offices of many dimensions. The capital of Bhutan.
A small and happy family—a father, mother and son—
lived there. The happiest families ever lived in Thimphu.
The threesome lived in a suburb of the town in their
mansion-like dwelling. Father was a doctor and the
mother an office-goer. Every day, they circumambulated
a temple in the morning and evening.
Tshering Samphel, the son, was lazy and he accompanied
his parents to the temples on auspicious days only. His
parents called him Samphel. Thus, Samphel was tall and
fair, and he studied in the sixth grade. His smile was so
charming that it invigorated the hearts of his friends like
the sun brightening the leaden skies. Thus, for his fine
disposition, he had many friends in school. Samphel
talked less, but he did not let his friends down. He always
carried additional pens and other paraphernalia to lend
