We can follow his movements. I will open the program for you, when we get off
the boat.”
"And where is he staying?" Asks Karin.
“In a small town called Åstorp right outside of Helsingborg. Very close
with the border to Denmark. That fool. Takes us about an hour from when we
arrive to Sweden.” Olina snorts, before continuing: “By the way, our clever
Swedish colleagues, also knows about his whereabouts, and if he crosses a radius
of 100 kilometres from his hiding place, they can arrest him."
The blue Passat speeds down the Elsinore harbour road and they can
clearly see the Ferry Terminal shuttle ferries sailing every 20 minutes between
the two city ports.
“Is there something with this sailing trip being short? What does the
journey take, half an hour?" Asks Karin.
“Well, it actually only takes 20 minutes. I’ve always enjoyed the small
ferry trip, and in this beautiful weather, it is pure therapy and solitary for the
soul. Look!“ Says Olina and points out the narrow stretch of sea that separates
the two coastal cities from each other. On the other side of the sound,
Helsingborg's beautiful coastline is clearly visible, in the sunshine. Police and a
few military vehicles are present. A mood of subdued panic reigns the closer they
get to the port terminal. Checkpoints have been set up for all traffic to and from
the train station and ferry terminal. The security here is vast, and with their po-
lice signs in their hands, they quickly pass through the security apparatus and
shortly after, they get in line the car queue for ferry to Helsingborg.
The two police ladies drive unto the big ferry, parking the Passat on the lower
deck. They get out, find a door upstairs to the main deck and the store. As they
enter they are greeted by the speaker sound.
“Welcome to Scandlines we point out that staying on the car deck is not allowed
during the crossing. We wish you a pleasant journey.”
