Scene 4 配合 Topic 2
Narrator: Pinocchio goes home and stays in his bedroom.
His father knocks on the door and brings him some cookies.
Pinocchio’s father: What are you doing, Pinocchio?
Pinocchio: I’m drawing. Look at my picture. Is it beautiful?
Pinocchio’s father: Yes, it is. Wait! Where did you get the box of markers?
Pinocchio: It…It…It was a gift from my friend.
Narrator: Pinocchio’s nose gets longer again.
Pinocchio: Oh, no! My nose!
Pinocchio’s father: Pinocchio, did you lie again?
Pinocchio: Sorry, Dad. They’re my friend’s markers.
Pinocchio’s father: You should not take your friend’s markers home.
Honesty is the best policy. Take them back to your friend.
Narrator: The next day, Pinocchio’s friend, Emma, is looking for her markers
in the classroom.
Emma: I can’t find my markers. Where are they?
Ken: Are they in your bag?
Emma: No, they aren’t.
Narrator: Pinocchio goes into the classroom with his long nose.
Pinocchio: Wendy, I…I…I’m sorry. Here are your markers.
I took your markers without asking you.
Emma: That’s OK. Now, you gave them back to me. You are still an honest
friend.
Mike: Look! Your nose is back to normal.
Pinocchio: Hurray! Like my father said, ”Honesty is the best policy!”
Mike, Ken, Alan,
Emma & Wendy: You’re right. Honesty is the best policy!
