World Mizrachi is the global Religious
Zionist movement, spreading Torat Eretz
Yisrael across the world and strengthening
the bond between the State of Israel and
Jewish communities around the world. Chanukah Torah
Based in Jerusalem and with branches across
the globe, Mizrachi – an acronym for merkaz PAGES 39–47
ruchani (spiritual center) – was founded in 1902
by Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov Reines, and is led today
by Rabbi Doron Perez. Mizrachi’s role was then
and remains with vigor today, to be a proactive
partner and to take personal responsibility
in contributing to the collective destiny of
Klal Yisrael through a commitment to Torah,
the Land of Israel and the People of Israel.
