Happy 25 Anniversary CHSNAF – Empowering Stewardship!

This year we are celebrating two milestones that have been the core of CHSNAF.

For 25 years, from the grassroots level to an incorporated non-profit foundation, from the first
reunion in a New York backyard to cities and hotels all over North America, CHSNAF’s resolve
to our alumnae and beloved alma mater has been steadfast. Let us all salute our founding
members who have empowered themselves as stewards in overcoming the arduous task of
building and structuring an organization like ours.

Over the years, we have raised hundreds and thousands of dollars to support projects at CHSM
including refurbishing and air-conditioning the Paraclete Auditorium. At the 2007 Reunion in
Toronto, our focus shifted to saving the school from extinction through the Institutional
Development Plan and to rebuilding enrollment through scholarships. We then reaffirmed the
value of a CHSM education during our Centennial celebration in Las Vegas with our CWoW
               project.

In the community, CHSNAF in partnership with CHSAF, sponsored two Gawad Kalinga
villages. We funded boats and pedicabs in Barangay Payapay, Leyte; built a classroom in
Bungsuan, Capiz and supplied water treatment filtration for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan
               (Yolanda).

After years of negotiations and a million thanks to Deanna GoBio for representing CHSNAF, we
the Alumnae, were mandated full management of the College of the Holy Spirit Manila through
the CHS Alumnae Management Corporation in January 2016 and recently, the investiture of Dr.
Jesusa M. Marco, as CHSM President.

For the next quarter century, let us carry on the empowering stewardship in our pursuit of veritas
et caritas! May the Holy Spirit be with you all!
