2022 DSU MASTER PLAN

In March of 2022, Delaware State University, DSU, put out their

own 2030 master plan for their campuses. Their plan revolves around
the vision of establishing growth opportunities at each campus location,
strengthening their cultural identity, and exploring programmatic
synergies to consolidate where possible. DSU has also acquired the
Wesley college and has planned to not only redevelop the location, but
to also develop a new relationship with the downtown area.
Downtown DSU, formally know as Wesley College, is located
only about 3 Miles away from Loockerman street, the main commercial
corridor, allowing for a unique partnership opportunity. DSU plans to
take full advantage of the opportunity and wants to play a key economic
and cultural role in the downtown area, as well as becoming an anchor
institution. To do this DSU plans to become less reliant on the north
DuPont highway by integrating multi-modal mobility systems, relocate
academic programs and community engagement in partnership with the
Dover downtown revitalization planning, and create pedestrian friend
walkable streets both in and around campus.
