International award
In 2011, the Inter-American Program of Judicial Facilitators of the Organization of Ame-
rican States received the international award “Innovating Justice”, from hundreds of
access to justice initiatives worldwide. Such prize is bestowed by the Dutch Consortium
Innovating Justice - Platform for Rule of Law Solutions, at The Hague, Netherlands.
The jury highlighted the quality of the project: giving access to justice to those who are
otherwise excluded from the judicial services, as well as the implementation of the pro-
gram in several countries.
