The growth of migration
Migration is the movement of people from one place to another. Migration can
be international when people move from one country or internal when people
move from one area to another in the same country. It occurs often from rural to
urban areas. People migrate for many reasons like economic and social factors.
One effect of migration growth is the economy. This factor is due to the poverty
and the low incomes. Therefore, the population tries to search for a job because in
their home countries the work is not profitable or simply scarce. For example,
Ecuador is a country with great natural resources but the Government does not
have the opportunity to take profit of them because it does not have the machinery
or money to continue with some project.
Another effect of migration growth is the social problem. People that travel to
another country is because they need money to support their families. So, they can
improve their standard of living in order to have a better education, healthcare, etc.
Also, people migrate to another country for safety because in their countries there
are wars and violence. For example, Syria is a country where there is war, so
hundreds of people die every day.
In conclusion, Migration is a global phenomenon that has several factors that
influence it like the economy of the country and the social environment.
