Multi Cultural Ministries
We thank God for all His blessings! Multi-Cultural ministry is moving onward
according to God’s moving here in our Northwest District. We say “Thank you” to
Pastor Luis Rodriguez who has moved on to pursue Chaplain certification. We
appreciate all his work while here in the district as pastor at Wapato Nazarene and
other efforts and committees. We pray for God’s guidance for Luis and his family.
Pastors Doroteo and Patricia Rivera and the congregation of Casa de Restauracion
continue to meet at Moses Lake First Church of the Nazarene. With all their duties
and responsibilities as pastors they also visit and work with a group in Quincy. They
are also very involved with their on-line radio ministry, Radio Unción y Presencia de
Dios, heard by many across the U.S.A., El Salvador and other surrounding countries
in Latin America. Many in these places and points in between have called for prayer
and many have received Christ as their savior! Patricia has also been granted her
district license and continues with the required course of study as they become
available.
Pastor Walter and Guadalupe Delgado and the congregation of Rios de Aqua Viva
continue to meet at Wenatchee First Church of the Nazarene. The challenges and
blessings of a bi-vocational pastor is always demanding. But Pastor Walter continues
with his calling. This past year in August of 2019, the congregation of Rios de Aqua
Viva celebrated their 5 anniversary as a congregation with a special service.
th
Pastor Jose and Susana Tellos are new to our district. They pastor a congregation
that meets at the Rocky Butte Nazarene building. Pastor Jose has been working
closely with Dr. Ron Hunter who was instrumental in seeking permission for use of
the building. Pastor Jose and Susana travel regularly to Pasco where they are
currently working with and uniting another group of people who appreciate Pastor
Jose’s ministry and dedication. Pastor Jose has shown great interest in working with
Pastor Ron and the course of study.
Pastor Homero and Velma Montemayor continue to pastor the congregation of
Agape Love Ministries in Othello. Despite some health issues Pastor Homero and his
wife continue in ministry in Othello. He has also been teaching as a substitute
teacher for the school district in Othello. The challenge of seeking another place of
worship was given over to the Lord in prayer and he has provided them with another
building where they meet to worship and receive God’s word.
Pastor Armando and Herminia Esqueda have been very busy with some noteworthy
changes. Pastor Armando had been serving the people of Granger, Washington
pastoring Granger Harvest Church. When Pastor Luis Rodriguez left Wapato
Nazarene to pursue his certification as a chaplain, Pastor Armando answered the call
to pastor in Wapato. Most of his members from Granger continue to go to Wapato to
be ministered to. Herminia has also been very busy not only in Wapato but has been
invited as a speaker to different events in our district and is also working on the
course of study.
