Star Light Night

There was food and drink so that if we got thirsty

or hungry, we could drink and eat. There were lots
of games like magic tricks, storytelling, hopscotch,

fish the bottle and bouncy castle, but the main

event was the fireworks. After much excitement, we

gathered around the bonfire, it was storytelling

time and all the children listened keenly to the
scary stories told by the adults.

Afterwards, we got something to eat, which I’m

sure was nothing like the food they enjoyed back

then. Roasted breadfruit, roasted red herring, sug-
arcane and bread nuts – delicious organic food.

We sat down on a rock in the yard and talked

about how much fun we had at the Star light

Extravaganza, aka Guy Fawkes Night. We looked
forward to having another wonderful time popping

firecrackers and small bombs and meeting around

the bonfire. We also wondered if we could have a

little of the old time fun.
