Star Light Night
Sophie jumped out of bed as quick as lightning,
in the hope that she had not missed out the fun
activities because Guy Fawkes Night was one of
her favourite events of the year.
Guy Fawkes night has been celebrated for many,
many years. The story was told that some
Englishmen plotted to blow up the House of
Parliament in London, a building similar to the
Montserrat Cultural Centre where the Legislative
Assembly meets to discuss the business of the
country. They were going to kill all of our
honourable men and women that gathered there.
However, it did not succeed. Someone told on
those who were planning to do this awful deed.
