My First Casa Experience
I
was so excited to go to the Junior Caribbean
Area Squash Association Championship (CASA)
because it was my first time. I had packed two
weeks before the trip; I could not wait for the day
when we would leave. I was competing in the
squash championships organised by the
Caribbean Area Squash Association in the Boys’
Under 11 category.
I was seeded number 3 and was looking forward
to making my mark and bringing home a trophy.
It was a very special occasion for my country, as it
was the first time we were competing alone, and
not as part of an OECS team. Our team was made
up of six boys and three girls. Coach Bailey and
Coach Amber completed the contingent.
Our team uniform for the flight was green athletic
shirts and dress pants. Also travelling with us
were several parents, including my Mom.
My Mom was on a later flight than me though; so
Coach Bailey was my guardian for the flight.
