My First Casa Experience

Then the plane shook and vibrated as it taxied

along before coming to a screeching halt. I was not

bothered in the least by the landing. I was thrilled

to be in Trinidad and eagerly looking forward to

the squash games.

The first event of the trip was the opening

ceremony, which took place the day after we

arrived. My team was dressed in another one of our

national colours – blue athletic shirts, along with
black shorts. When our team was announced, ‘This

Island is Mine,’ a popular song by Vincentian

artiste, Skinny Fabulous was played.
