No Way Out
In the hallway they saw old paintings and a crystal
chandelier covered in cobwebs. The kitchen
smelled awful – old dirty dishes filled with water
were piled up in the sink. Rotten food was on the
floor and the counter tops were slimy. Old
tattered furniture covered in spiders’ webs filled
the rest of downstairs and roaches and rats ran
around everywhere. The pair decided to head
upstairs. As they started up the stairs they heard
the front door close with a tremendous ‘Bang!’
They both jumped in terror!
In a panic Kane called out, “Is any one home!”
Trembling all over, Jay whispered, “Someone must
be here because no wind is blowing, so someone
must have caused the door to slam.” Suddenly
the lights started to flicker. Then the lights went
off and the friends were in total darkness in this
creepy old house. When the lights suddenly came
back, Jay saw Kane lying on the floor with a knife
sticking out of his side!
