An Island Hopping Adventure
He explained that L.I.A.T hasn’t flown to
Montserrat since the volcanic crisis, but in the
future there was a possibility.
So we flew along to St Kitts. It’s a very picturesque
island. It also has a sister island which is called
Nevis. St Kitts was famous a long time ago for
producing sugar but that industry is no more.
When we were at camp some of the facilitators also
gave us a run down of the islands’ history so he
said, “I was well versed on it.”
We flew North to St Maarten and then to Anguilla
our final stop North.
Anguilla is very flat and has a lot of nice beaches.
It has a very small population. A lot of famous
movie stars own and build properties there, which
they visit seasonally. After our Anguilla stop we
then flew straight back home to Antigua. My dad
said, “Son there are so many other islands in the
Caribbean and perhaps one day we will visit more
of them.”
