A Home for Athalia
I
n a small town called Bowlville lived a homeless
girl named Athalia. Athalia had lost both parents
when she was just a little girl and had no relatives
who were willing to give her a home, so when
they died she became homeless. Athalia had no
choice but to eat out of people’s garbage bins
after they had put them out to be collected by
the rubbish men.
One day, while Athalia was eating from
Miss Katharine’s garbage bin, she saw a girl
named Makayla walking home from school.
