Dir. continues NE. at first, then bears E. by N. atony
the coast.
4 m. Hasanah, Ullage.
2 m. Rakhmit, where a torrent-bed reaches the
shore.
8 m. Jluseina'ah, an ancient site, with ruins ; the
country round is marshy and contains belts
of mangroves.
For the remainder of the stage (39 m.) the
route runs in almost a straight line along a
tow desolate coast, at the foot of a range of
high mountains.
11 m. Mouth of Wadi Shakhdwi is crossed.
24 in. Tanun, small village.
13 m. Sharkhat, village, practically deserted.
54 m. Cross the mouth of Wadi Museilah, which
makes a very conspicuous gap in the coastal
range; a small ruined fort stands on each
side of this wadi, which leads up to the main
Wadi Hadhramaut.
3 m. Darfut, small village.
