feet, were completed.

g. A house was built at Kozabia on land previously acquired by the Govern­
ment. The cost of this building, including fittings etc , was Rs. 43,460. The house is
leased by H. B. M’s Political Agent as a residence for the Assistant Political Agent.
h. Manama-Muharraq Causeway.

The whole road was resurfaced and the stone parapets were completed on each
side to the end of the road.
i. Police Family Quarters,

The provision for this work was inadequate as the buildings were constructed
of cement concrete instead of local style ferrush stone. The expenditure includes
cost of a cement drain running the length of the married lines to carry off water into
the water channel which flows from the Fort garden to the sea on the south of the
Fort.
J. Water Tower of Fort.
Budget estimate Rs. 3,500
Actual expenditure „ 4,170
This work was carried out by the Electric Department and includes a small
tank and a water supply to the married lines and the Fort. The expenditure is to
be adjusted in the Public Works Department account for 1358.

If. Muharraq Sea Road Extension.
Budget estimate Rs. 40,000
Actual expenditure „ 40,000
This sum was paid to the Muharraq Municipality as a special grant to assist
the municipality to extend the sea road as far as the sohool on the northern edge
of the town.

1- Major Repairs to Quarantine.

The Quarantine buildings were thoroughly repaired and new kitchens and
latrines were constructed and a pier was built.
W. Fort Wall and Tower.
