456. Tho Imam’s claims upon tho authorities at Basrah having been

brought to an amicablo arrangement, the blockade of that place was raised in
November 1826, and his fleet returned to Maskat much to tho rolief of the

authorities in tho Gulf.
467. In May 1827 Sheikh Abdul Rassul was restored to liberty by the Imam,
and on his giving a bond for 80,000 German crowns, his two vessols were
likewise given up to him.
468-461. Sheikh Ahmed, an uncle of Sheikh Abdul Rassul, was appointed
Governor of Bushire on the capture of tho latter by the Imam of Maskat.
In 1827 8heikh Abdul Rassul was restored to liberty by tho Imam and on his
giving a bond for 80,000 crowns, his two vessels were likewise given back to
him.
