             they have long vanished from North Arabia. The area surrounding
             al-‘Ula is now occupied by the tribes of ‘Anazah and Baliyy, with
             the exception of al-‘Ula itself. The Baliyy, in fact, have, resided in
             this region since early Islamic times.
