                          to repair to Bussorah ; It is also intended by tho Gov J- that they shall go against
                          the Chaub as soon as our Force arrive, & tbe Basbaw has sent letters to desire
                         Own assistance in Joining them, which Your Hon^. & will judge by our situa­
                         tion cannot refuse complying with & if we did we must not expect any favour
                         from them. And as destroying the Cbanb is of the Utmost Consequences to
                         the Trade of this place and what the Turks cannot proBsibly Effect without our
                         assistance, we are of Opinion, suoh an Opportunity should not be lost when
                         our Ships arrive, not doubting Your HonJL & will approve our conduct therein
                         for tbe reasonsal ready given, and as the Gov.L are very- pressing with us to
                          Send for a Force, in case this report of our Cruizers shoud he contradicted We
                          request Your Hon-£- will comply there with as speedily as possible as mentioned

                          made heavy complaints against Messrs. Price and Shaw, imputing bis having
                          seized the Sally Snow from Madras and the Hon’ble Company's Sloop to

                          a true state of the case whereby I doubt not but every allegation of the
                           Chaubs will be fully refuted and those gentlemen entirely exoulpated.

                           and Sillik and kept them by force in his possesion though they formerly
