PREFACE-

In submitting this precis on ** the Arms Trade in the Persian Gulf,” I wish to
point out that my reason for treating matters in connection therewith at
somewhat great length, was to facilitate the work of the officer compiling the
Persian Gulf Gazetteer, by saving him the trouble of constantly referring to the
recorded collections.
