                       calendar year deliver to the Shaikh an abstract of such accounts for such
                       year and a statement of the amount of royalty due to the Shaikh for such
                       year. Such accounts shall be treated as confidential by the Shaikh with the
                       exception of such figures therein as he may be required by law to publish."

                   [Supplementary Agreement dated November 21, 1933, between the Bahrein
                         Petroleum Company and the Ruler of Bahrain, extending for a period of
                         13 months from December 2, 1933, the Prospecting Licence granted
                         under the 1925 Concession Agreement, and setting out the conditions in
                         regard to the Monthly Payments to be made to the Ruler under the
                         Concession Agreement.

                   Supplementary Agreement between His Excellency Shaikh Hamad Bin Shaikh
                       Tsa A1 Khalifah, Shaikh of Bahrein, C.S.I., acting on the advice of the
                       Honourable the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf and The Bahrein
                       Petroleum Company Limited Witnesses that: —
                       1.  The Prospecting License granted by the Concession Agreement as extended
                   by the Supplementary Agreement dated the Thirteenth day of December One
                   thousand nine hundred and thirty-two shall be and the same is hereby extended
                   for and during the further period of thirteen months from the Second day of
                   December One thousand nine hundred and thirty-three.
                       2.  The Bahrein Petroleum Company Limited shall make to His Excellency
                   Shaikh Hamad the following payments and advance that is to say: —
                       (ia) For the Private Purse of His Excellency Shaikh Hamad a payment of
                             Rupees Twelve thousand (Rs. 12,000) not later than fourteen (14) days
                             from the date of this Agreement and thereafter thirteen (13) equal
                             monthly payments each of Rupees One thousand (Rs. 1,000). The first
                             of such monthly payments shall be made one month from the date
                             of payment of the said Rupees Twelve thousand (Rs. 12,000). The
                             remaining thirteen (13) monthly payments each of Rupees one thousand
                             (Rs. 1,000) shall be made on the same day of each succeeding month.
                       (b) For the Public Purse of His Excellency Shaikh Hamad an amount of
                             Rupees Seventy-five thousand (Rs. 75,000) in thirteen (13) monthly
                             instalments the first of which Rupees Five thousand seven hundred and
                             seventy-two (Rs. 5,772) shall be paid not later than fourteen (14) days
                             from the date of this Agreement. The Twelve (12) remaining equal
                             monthly payments each of Rupees Five thousand seven hundred and
                             sixty-nine (Rs. 5,769) shall be made on the same day of each succeeding
                             month. Rupees Twenty-five thousand (Rs. 25,000) of this amount
                             shall be non-recoverable but the remaining Rupees Fifty thousand
                             (Rs. 50,000) shall be an advance provided that such advance shall be
                             repaid to the Bahrein Petroleum Company Limited as follows
                             namely: —
                                   If and when the royalty due to His Excellency Shaikh Hamad
                               for any one year exceeds Rupees Sixty thousand (Rs. 60,000) the
                               Bahrein Petroleum Company Limited shall deduct and retain or
