             To—Tho Under-Sccretary to tbo Government of India in the Foreign Department
          With reference to Foreign Department letter No.. 3800-E. A., dated the
     11th October 1905, to tho address of the Resident, Persian Gulf, I havo the
     honour to submit herewith tho Annual Eeport on the trade of Uaskat for the
     year 1908-1909. Copies of the Report have been submitted to the Resident
     and to the Foreign Office, London.
         The delay in the submission of the Report is due to the fact that great
     difficulty is experienced in obtaining the necessary statistics from the Super­
     intendent of His Highness* Customs. I hope to make arrangements which will
     ensure the collection of satisfies in good time next year.

         I have the honour to submit herewith a copy of the Annual Report on the
     Trade of Maskat for the year 1903-1909. A copy has been forwarded to the
     TJnder-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Office, London.
         2. The delay in submitting the report is duo to the great difficulty
     experienced in obtaining the necessary information from the Superintendent
     of His Highness* Customs.. I hope to make arrangements which will ensure the
     collection of the statistics in good time next year, and if you approve, I propose
     in future to submit the Report as an appendix to the Agency Administration
     Report.
