One severe fulminating anterior poliomyelitis with respiratory paralysis could not be saved
with the iron lung.
One enteric of the French Air Force arrived in coma showing unusual meningeal manifestations
and was unconscious for three weeks. He was eventually cured without complications with massive
doses of Chloromycetin.
