Future Prospects.—The? large increase in the use of electricity this year is expected to con-
tinue during 1371-1372 and orders have been placed in the United Kingdom for three new Generating
Sets totalling 2,150 kW. A new transmission and distribution system has been planned for Muharraq
and this work will be completed during next year.
Much of the Low Tension distribution system in Manamah is due for renewal and large
quantities of materials for this have been ordered. The work of the Mains Department has grown
tremendously and efforts arc being made to obtain skilled linesmen from India to speed up the
connection of outstanding applicants for electricity supply.
