Local lines.—Tehran to Dosbantepeh, Gasr-i-Gajar, Sultanetabad,
Shahabdulazim, 27 kilometres. With central office at Tehran and the
office at the Shah's Palace, six stations.
Line to Bushire.—English Government, 1,176 kilometres. Stations :
Gom, K ash an, Ispahan, Gomisheh, Abadeh, Shiraz, Knzerun, Bushire,
eight stations. Branch from Ispahan to Kerman, 634 kilometres ; eight
stations : Kuhpa, Nain, Agda, Yezd, Kermaoshahan, Anar, Bahiama-
bad (Rafsinjan), Kerman.
Line to Khanekin.—Turkish frontier ; 704* kilometres ; nine stations :
Kbanabad, Nobarau, Zerreh, Ilamadan, Kergaver, Kermanshah, Keriud,
Gasr-i-Sbirin, Khanekin. Branch from, Ilamadan to Shu-shter ; 4 63
kilometres ; nine stations : Dowletabad Malay er, Burujird, Kazan,
Khorremahad (Luristan), Nasrabad hi ukhberabad, Rezzeh, Dizful,
Shush ter. Branch from Burujird to Nehavend ; 39 kilometres ; one
station : Nehavend. Branch from Boioletahad to Sultana bad (Irag) ; 70
kilometres ; one station, Sultanabad. Branch from Ilamadan to
Sinna (Kurdistan) ; 99 kilometres ; two stations : Kirweh, Sinna
(Senendij). Branch from Kirweh to Bijar (Gerrus) ; 72 kilometres ;
one station, Bijar. Tehran to Meshed ; 856 kilometres ; ten stations :
Aivan-i-Keif, Aradan (Khar), Scmnan, Damghan, Shahrud, Miandasbt,
Majinan, Sabzvar, Nishapur, Meshed. Last year two stations on this
line were closed, viz., Meiomey and Abbasabad. Branch from Semnan
to Firuzkuh ; 70 kilometres ; one station Firuzkob. Branch from
Shahrud to Aslrahad and Mazandcran ; 360 kilometres ; seven stations :
Tash, Astrabad, Bender-i-Gez, Ashraf, Sari, Barfurush, Meshedi Sar.
Tehran to the Russian frontier ; 664 kilometres ; six stations : Gazvin,
Zenjan, Miaueh, Tabriz, Marand, Arras. This is the Indo-European
Company's line. Branch from Gazvin to Gilan ; 225 kilometres ;
three stations : Manjil, Resbt, Enzeli. The station is not at Enzeli itself,
bat at a small village Kazian (Gazian) or Miankaleh or Mianpusht on the
eastern side of the canal joining the Murdab with the Caspian, Branch
from Tabriz to Saujbulaph ; 200 kilometres; four stations: Goo’an
Marnghah, Marhametabad Miandoab, Saujbulagh (Turkish Saubula^h).
Branch from Karand to Urumiah ; 211 kilometres ; three stations : Khoi,
Salmas (Dilraan), Urumiah.
Salmas (Dilman), Urumiah. Branch from Sehnas to Turkish frontier•
(line to Van) ; 54 kilometres, one station : Bashgalah.
The line from Tabriz to Ardibil via Sarab will be completed this
year ; a line from Shush ter to Muhammerah is als spoken of.
