Type 6
An Official PAID date-stamp (Type 6) was registered in the Proof
Impression Books in London on November 30th, 1966; although a
similar date-stamp inscribed ABU DHABI in Arabic as well as in English
was introduced on April 1st, 1968, Type 6 was still in use in 1972.
Registered mail continued to bear British-type BAHRAIN PS
labels until early 1965 when British type Registration Labels inscribed
“ABU DHABI” were introdiced; a manuscript “1” was added for mail
from Das Island until December 1965 when “DAS ISLAND/ABU
DHABI” labels came into use.
