Other constant defects occur only on certain valucs:-
R2/2 The second diamond-shaped dot in the Arabic surcharge (200)
progressively grew smaller through wear or breakage of the piece
of type until it was little more than the size of a pinhead at the
end of the printing run — on 200f. only.
R3/5 The Arabic “Fils” is '/2mm. further to the left in relation to U
Arabic “100” — on lOOf only. -r-
R7/3 Extra bar - ID only (Major variety).
R8/5 No serif at top of upright in “F” of “Fils” - on 100f., 200f.
and 500f.

None of these listed defects will be easily found. As they all occur
only once in a sheet, the maximum number is, in each case, dictated by I
the number of sheets sold.

There are, of course, many examples of under- and over-inked
prints, kiss-prints giving the appearance of double overprints and other
minor varieties which are neither constant nor of particular importance.
But there was one error that “got away” - a sheet of 40 Fils/40NP
with double overprint, one sideways, bought and noticed by a local K
resident who broke the whole sheet into singles to give away to his
friends!
