4. As soon as you attain control, send a front kick to the groin. (If the assailant’s
               body is angled, a round kick to the groin, using the ball of your foot, may be

               more applicable.) After the initial counterattack, follow with additional counters,
               maintaining control of the weapon hand and keeping the weapon away from
               your body. Kicks to the groin and face (if the assailant is doubled over) are
               preferable.












































               5. Maintain control at the wrist using your whole body, with the palm of your
               right hand applying pressure to the knuckles of the assailant’s weapon hand. The
               pressure should force the fingers surrounding the knife to open. While

               maintaining contact, scrape the weapon out of the assailant’s hand.
