                                                    GROUP DYNAMICS

The wise warrior knows each group has its own dynamics, and its unique pattern of fo-
                                                              cus.

A warrior chief understands that there are forces generated by a group. These forces
                     identify the pattern of interactions, communication and the way members make decisions;
with this knowledge he is able to help the group in times of trouble.

The wise warrior understands successful productivity of a group depends on the ability
of its members to exchange ideas freely, clearly and to feel involved in the decision process.

A great warrior knows that a collection of experienced warriors does not always pro-
duce a capable war council. He understands that when a council is formed it assumes a
character all its own, capable of either wise decisions, or childish behavior.

A council must have an objective to work towards or it will become lost or go in circles
like a dog chasing its tail.

A group is like a tornado. It can quickly influence others with its energy.

A wise warrior chief does not blame the leader of the council when it does not function
effectively. He understands no council can be fully productive until all members assume re-
sponsibility for the actions of the council.

Decisions made by the group are not always the best, especially if it is only the group’s
                                                   interest that is being served.

Groups are like individuals…they too can be poisoned by power.

A wise warrior chief will not allow personal attacks on individual members of the coun-
cil by other members. He will emphasize that all must have the opportunity to speak freely
or important information or ideas may be lost forever.

A wise warrior knows that those who have self-interest in their hearts may try to manip-
ulate the group for their own personal gain.

The many minds of the group may find answers that one mind cannot.

The warrior knows that a group can be either a destructive or a positive force.

Synergistic effect is the result of a powerful force.
