right amount of taxes then the casino is doing well - sometimes we have the same interest. Especially when you talk
about success - a lot of that is having a good team around you. I know with what I have here and with an operation that I
CSJPD have now - it's impossible to micro manage you have to have good people working for you.

Please describe your most recent position and day-to-day responsibilities. I have continuous and open communication with everyone that I regulate. I am a very involved regulator in the sense
that I like to be in the facility. I like to know what the issues are. I like to know if we can do a better job. I am a very active
hands-on kind of person.
I went to law school - I was a member of the South Carolina Bar. I did an internship with the State of South Carolina. I earned a
Master's in Public Administration. Went into a private practice, determined after that if I did not go into a court again I would
be perfectly happy. It wasn't my cup of tea - I got a job offer with Goldman Sachs - received some promotions. Was eventually Closing
VP of Financial Related Services - did financial management for corporations. Still working on the financial and the tax side. I
was with Goldman for right about 12 years, then the financial crash happened. I was in the third round of lay-offs that hit.
10. Is there anything else you would like to add?
Was appointed as Administrator, State Compliance Agency. We in 2010 - the State of Florida signed a gaming compact with the
largest gaming tribe in the country. There had been a pretty acrimonious relationship between casinos and the state. Eventually
the State agreed to open up seven casinos, and I was hired to setup the program - which included auditing, tax, I had to hire a
staff, everything. I did that for close to five years and then I was actually asked to help regulate federal law, whereas our com-
mercial casinos were adhering to state law - which I have been hired to oversee. I oversee 8 casinos. I have a staff of about 50 11. If out of the area – Are you willing to relocate to the San Jose Area?
people, nine offices, casino offices, regional offices. Multi-disciplined staff, auditors, accountants, attorneys. That's where I've
been and that's what I've been doing. When I started doing this I knew nothing about gaming at all.
How many employees do you supervise? Who do you report to? What are the areas that you regulate?
Supervise a staff of 50. I report to the Director of Mutual Wavering. I am the highest level career appointee in Florida, not tech-
nically a political appointee. My boss is a political appointee. I help with drafting new laws and regulations, and all of that.
