- Acting Manager (2015), Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside. Serving as Acting Manger to
the JPA Board of Directors composed of members of the City Council of Half Moon
Bay, Directors of Granada Community Services District, and Montara Water and
Sanitary District, while maintaining a balanced and equitable leadership style.
Coordination with member agency managers and inter-departmental staff. Setting
annual budget and working with legal/accounting advisors. Laying groundwork for
local partnerships. Spearheading Coastside-Wide Recycled Water Project Efforts in
2015. Direct Supervision of staff and agency representation in MOU negotiations.
Infrastructure assessment and long-term capital improvement planning efforts.
Negotiations with state agencies and NPDES compliance planning.
- Superintendent of Water Operations (2006-2008), MWSD. Reporting to the General
Manager as Superintendent of Water Operations. Learned the California water industry
from the ground up. Provided project and emergency repair supervision, SCADA
system and AMR meter upgrade implementation. Operated a surface water
treatment plant, a GAC based MTBE treatment plant, an Ion-Exchange Nitrate
treatment plant, 9 groundwater production wells, and a 35-mile distribution system
including 15 PRV stations with minimal staff resources.
