General Questions
1. Why are you interested in the Financial Analyst role?

Lisa thinks her strongest suit is financial analysis and it's a role she has performed for the last 15
years.

2. Please tell me about your current position and its day­to­day responsibilities.

American Concrete Services went out of business. She did all of the AR, bank reconciliations,
progressive billing, payroll, and financial analysis.

3. What do you know about the City of Big Bear Lake and the Department of Water and
Power?

She doesn't know a whole lot about the City of even if its public or private.

Position Specific Questions

4. What relevant accounting experience do you have that would allow you to succeed in this
role?

Lisa has 29 years of experience including asset accounting. She would be able to get in there and do
her job.

5. The right candidate will be a long­term fit?

She has a lifted jeep and has no problem getting through the snow or any terrain. Lisa is looking for a
strong foundation. The last 2 jobs she took had financial difficulties and took a chance on new
companies, but she has the experience now and would like her next job to be the one she retires
with.

6. What do you consider to be your greatest professional strength?

Her greatest professional strengths include customer service and her accounting skillset.
She is able to just look at numbers and know what is going on.

7. How would you describe your communication and collaboration style?

Lisa is very open and takes a hands­on approach. She is direct, yet diplomatic. In
collaborating she believes in being open and truthful in communicating to build trust.
