Direct and manage all aspects of the public works engineering and maintenance divisions;
including streets/roads, transportation, traffic signals and circulation, maintenance of streets, parks
and storm drains. Primary responsibilities include transportation safety, and improvements to
roads, traffic control devices, and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. Serve as the Americans
with Disabilities Act Coordinator.
Corte Madera has a complex flood control system with a series of levees, 10 pump stations, and a
third of the homes in town are located in the flood plain. Serve as the Flood Plain Manager working
with the Department of Water Resources.
Management of Sanitary District number 2 (SD2) of Marin County. Maintenance, repair and
construction of mainlines, force mains, gravity lines and 19 sanitary pump stations. SD2 must
reliably deliver effluent along with two other JPA partners to the Central Marin Sanitation Agency.
Customer service, public relations, conduct community meetings and report to the elected Town
Council the first and third Tuesday of the month. This includes regular public speaking, often with
the need to convey complex engineering or techincal issues to lay people and elected officials
amidst opposition and controversy.

Responsible for the capital planning and funding of Alemeda-Contra Costa Transit District's
transportation infracstructure, fleet, fleet conversion, dedicated busways, Bus Rapid Transit line,
platforms/stops. Also responsible for writing, reviewing and submitting grants to local, regional,
state and federal funding agencies to supplement dedicated revenue streams with formula and
competitive grants. Managed staff, reported to the elected board of governors, and participated in
the executive team discussions for agency-wide policy, reporting and strategy development.
