Appendix H: Migrate infiNET EX Devices
to a New Gateway
Migrating infiNET EX® wireless devices to a new gateway may help solve connectivity or latency
issues with infiNET EX devices.
When infiNET EX devices are migrated, the wireless devices are removed from the existing
gateway and transferred to a new gateway. All programming is retained when devices are
migrated.
IMPORTANT: The CEN-GWEXER must be factory fresh or from within the same
system.
To migrate infiNET EX devices to a new gateway, follow these steps:
1. Write down the serial number and location for all devices that will be migrated.
NOTES:
l The Devices tab in the gateway's settings dialog displays the name, location, and
serial number for all devices that are acquired to the gateway. For details, refer to
Configure an infiNET EX Gateway (on page 698).
l Alternatively, perform this procedure one device at a time for all of the devices
that need to be migrated.
