        Story 236
                                                   The Boat Launch
The fat boy said, “Kind friend, so dear, so staunch – please, oh please help
me to launch my launch. I’d do it myself but for my big paunch and my big, big
        haunch.”
The other replied, “Fat friend, if ever you’re to lose your fat paunch and
even fatter haunch, la•zi•ness is a habit you ought to staunch.”
        Story 237
                                           His Last Jaunt
To save our souls was Jesus’s want. So for forty days He fasted and grew deep-
eyed and gaunt. He knew soon He would take His Cal•va•ry jaunt, and hear these
        jeer and taunts –
                                     Vaunt your greatness!
                                     Flaunt your crown of thorns!
Through it all His courage didn’t daunt, though tearful were Mary and His aunt.
