Story 165

                                           It Wasn’t a Cinch

The fans thought the game would be a cinch.

But time was now running out and they began to yell, "Lynch the
               quarterback . . . Lynch the quarterback . . . Lynch the quarterback . . . .

This made the quarterback flinch. What a pinch he was in!

In desperation, he winged a pass that flew like a finch that was
caught inbounds by scarcely an inch. Thus, victory and the

               championship their team would clinch.

              Story 166

                                              On A Binge

When the drunkard finally came home from a drunken

binge, he ripped the front door right off its hinge.

Then he tripped on the rug's fringe and hit his head

               and began to twinge.

Upon his face came a ghostly tinge, and upon his wife's

               face came a disgusting cringe.
