Story 296
Ship Ahoy
!
As a baby, Roy brought his parents a lot of joy.
Mrs. Doboi, said she loved the way he acted coy,
and how he played with a certain little toy.
She said, "He has never done anything to annoy, me or
Mr. Doboi, such as using a deceitful ploy. Him, we so
dearly enjoy! And our pleasure will never cloy."
When Roy grew up, he had to leave his home in Illinois. He joined the
Navy's employ to be upon a ship in a convoy, and fight the men of
Hanoi. His parents cautioned him to stay around a good boi. Then they
kissed their boy and said, "Ship ahoy, you dear, dear Roy !"
Change: boi for buoy.
Story 297
Joyce
Joyce was the choir's choice,
To sing solo in her sweetsoprano voice,
And she sung so sweetly,
That angels in heaven rejoiced!
